Magical Menorca
As it was so pleasant we spent a few more days in Cala Galdana. Found this photo of the place pre 60's tourist invasion.
The place hasn't aged too badly.
Flew the drone, had lots of swims, some of them clothing optional and went for a walk - like real vloggers.
I like a bit of foliage in the foreground of our photos.
We lost a halliard trying to lift the dinghy onboard and I had to balance on the boom with a big stick to get it back.
After about a week we moved on to Calo Blanc, a beautiful small anchorage directly on the flight path to Minorca airport. We had a great snorkel and Mandy went for a spin on her paddleboard.
We spent a very peaceful night here alone with the occasional late night flight but in the morning we were woken by this monster dropping its anchor. It's called Ambition and is owned by Amazon web services, London. 170 foot long, space for 12 guests and 14 crew/slaves.
We sailed off our anchor shortly after they arrived just to show them we can really sail (Like they cared) and we headed for the Capital of Menorca, Mahón. We stopped in the anchorage just outside town for 5 nights by the biggest fort we have ever seen, La Mola. We had to have a look around. Took us forever, lots of underground bits.
Then it was time to meet Nick & Jen for a couple of nights in Mahón and a couple of days sailing. And of course to celebrate Mandy's birthday.
Bob and Bill
Our new favourite drink, vermouth and ice.
Great photo of Jenny in Nick's glasses
Nick dropped his Oakleys overboard and we actually found them in 6m of water.
Mahon is a really groovy little town, they had an opera playing down one of the streets. I think it may have been live. An amazing sound giving the place magical atmosphere.
Then it was goodbye to Nick & Jen on a rainy Menorcan morning and back to work for Mandy and boat maintenance for me.

Looks great. Good to have the time to explore. There's lots I've not seen there.
